Chasing

Faster, faster, faster still,
The harder the chase,
The greater the thrill.
I quicken my feet, lengthen my strides,
My arms pump quicker and rush past my sides.
I reach, I fight I push through each pain,
Knowing great battles lead to great gain

Faster, faster, faster still,
lest the length of the chase weaken my will,

I press on.

And may my hope,
My courage be,
That while I chase you,
You also chase me.
