Profile

Community, creativity and discipleship represent three main foci of my ministry and life.  My wife Kelly and I love to spend time with our beautiful daughters, Micah and Izzy.  We enjoy traveling, the outdoors, watching a good movie or college football games.  I love to learn, and read voraciously.

Work Experience

Youth and Family Minister, Pleasant Valley Church of Christ;

Little Rock, Arkansas, 2000-Present

Teaching, Mentoring, Administrating. Developed many close pastoral relationships. Regular experience speaking and leading worship with group of over 130 adolescents.  Coordinated shift to elective sunday morning curriculum, multiple mission trip strategy.  Worked closely coordinating volunteer efforts.  Group attendance doubled from 2000-2008.  Developed healthy partnerships with large staff and eldership, coordinated Adult Education in 2008-2009.  Gained pulpit experience and the ability to balance ministry, family, and personal demands.  Counseled adolescents and adults, including premarital counseling, and gained experience with funerals and weddings. Since 2008 I have also been the Adult Education Minister and have preached approximately monthly.

Gifts and Skills

I believe the Lord has confirmed my primary gifts to be in  preaching,  teaching the Word, and in the building of relationships.  I possess writing and technological skills, and am a good troubleshooter.
